Football Match Day #5

I think it’s time for an Indoor match. My legs have finally recovered but I need to get them hurting again. Dates Anyone. I’ll see about getting the field.

This is certainly great news, Drew. I’ll be there whenever the majority decides. Let me know if you need any extra help to put to match together.

I’m looking forward to it, if you have trouble finding a venue to host I have some contacts with indoor facilities but they are up North (Cranberry/Butler/Neshannock)and can check availability.

I’ve never played in the Piper’s game before (I am too fat, lazy and usually drunk to play outdoor) but I am very much up for indoor. Let’s go!

It took me a while, but I believe I’ve got the answer to Madden’s “Why does Martin O’Neill wear 31″ question.

Has a date been set for the match?

  16. Drew said | November 8th, 2007 at 3:36 pm

Not yet I will try to get it done in a few days.

  17. rossoneri1978 said | November 11th, 2007 at 4:53 pm

    Drew:

Will the World Club Cup be available in any of the Soccer channels? Most games (including the final) are at 5:30 AM, so that defeats the whole purpose of my question.

  18. Drew said | November 12th, 2007 at 6:28 am

i’ll look into it. We may get some same day delays if you can avoid the result.

  19. MJ said | November 16th, 2007 at 11:35 am

Drew, any updates on when we might be able to get some court time?

  20. MJ said | November 19th, 2007 at 5:36 am

Drew … Thanks for the Charlton match this coming weekend. See ya on Saturday at 7:30!

    COME ON YOU ADDICKS!!!

Any news on the Pipers match?

  22. Drew said | November 20th, 2007 at 6:33 am

Sorry I have not got a date set. Can anybody throw me some leads on an indoor pitch. I need to compare rates. I think mid December would work well.
    Thanks in advance…..

  23. hobo9917 said | November 20th, 2007 at 7:26 am

I cant speak for anyone else but I dont think it has to be indoor.

  24. rossoneri1978 said | November 20th, 2007 at 10:06 am

I’m with you on that, Rich. Last time I was over at Pipers some people were discussing playing on the 25th of this month. According to weather.com this Sunday’s forecasted to be around 48 degrees. I think we can handle that. Is it possible to get permission to play at Founders Field on such short notice?

  25. Drew said | November 20th, 2007 at 11:25 am

No problem with me either I was born waterproof. We cannot play on founders pitch again until March. Any other field locations would be good?

  26. hobo9917 said | November 20th, 2007 at 1:07 pm

McKinney in North Park. Or I hear you can rent Schenley oval for cheap.

  27. rossoneri1978 said | November 28th, 2007 at 11:16 am

    Bobby:

Nice seeing you last night. We’d definitely organize a game, before Christmas if possible. It’d be nice to see everyone before the holidays. I’ll be done with final exams on the 15th, so you can count on me for whatever thereafter.

  28. MJ said | November 30th, 2007 at 6:25 pm

Anyone think maybe a Piper’s-based PSL team come spring might be a good idea?

  29. rossoneri1978 said | December 1st, 2007 at 3:33 pm

I believe we were working on that, but I’m definitely in. I also mentioned to Richard that a new British pub opened in Cleveland and perhaps they have a football crew. We ought to contact and challenge them to a “Turnpike Derby.” Nevertheless, count me in for a Pipers-based PSL team.

  30. Drew said | December 1st, 2007 at 4:01 pm

You all know I am in for a Piper’s based PSL team. Either finance or I can lend you all my massive skills on the pitch………….

  31. MJ said | December 6th, 2007 at 5:41 pm

Drew, I’m sure both would be appreciated! You just need to start playing up a little further so that the other side isn’t ALWAYS on-side. :)
